2009 Range Rover (L322) has a locking system using CDL switch, and the driver door lock remote handset that allows the doors and fuel filler cap into the center locked. This locking system has a two-level locking, which is locked and Superclocked. If you lock your vehicle from the inside using the CDL switch, then the vehicle will be locked to the locked mode. However, if you lock your vehicle from the outside by using the driver’s door lock or remote handset, then the vehicle will be locked with superlocked mode.

When the vehicle in the locked position mode, the Body Control Unit will energizes the lock actuators in the side door latches to disengage the external door handles from the latches; Energizes the fuel filler flap actuator to extend the locking pin to secure the filler flap (all except NAS); Ignores inputs from upper tail door external release switch. Body Control Unit (BCU) to lock the vehicle regardless of the position of the ignition key.

Meanwhile, when the vehicle is in the position of Super Lock mode, the BCU will energizes the lock and the super locksuperlock actuators in the side door latches to disengage both the internal and the external door handles from the latches; Energizes the fuel filler flap actuator to extend the locking pin to secure the filler flap; Ignores inputs from both the external and the internal release switches of the upper tail door; Ignores inputs from the CDL switch. BCU will enable Superlock mode after the ignition is detached from the ignition switch and the driver’s door is opened.
