The cooling system on the BMW Z4 sDrive35i engine consists of a series of radiator and oil cooler isolated circuit. The function of the isolated oil cooling circuit ensures that the heat is not inserted through the engine oil into the engine cooling system. The structure of the cooling circuit on this machine similar to the N52 engine. This machine is flushed through the coolant in accordance with the concept of cross-flow. This machine can also be equipped with an automatic gearbox, to utilize the lower area of the radiator to cool the gearbox by using the gearbox oil cooler. This can be achieved as in the N52 engine with the control sleeve, which is incorporated into the radiator tank.
