Honda CBR500R transistorized ignition system uses an electrically controlled ignition timing system. No adjustment can be made to the ignition timing. A faulty ignition system is often related to poor connections. Check those connections before proceeding. Make sure the battery is adequately charged. Using the starter motor with a weak battery results in a slower engine cranking speed as well as no spark as the spark plugs.

The Honda CBR500R ignition system consists of: side stand indicator, ignition switch, engine stop switch, right ignition coil, battery, fuse 10A/15A, main fuse 30A, ignition control module (ICM), ignition pulse generator, side stand switch, neutral switch, spark plugs, diode, left ignition coil, clutch switch, neutral indicator.
