The 2006 Aprilia RS125 is equipped with rave valve system. The exhaust valve is solenoid-actuated via a Bowden cable. Using the exhaust valve on type-approved 11kW
Aprilia RS125 makes such vehicles illegal to ride on public roads. The ECU determines engine rpm based on primary circuit frequency input and operates the solenoid within a preset rpm range.
The Aprilia RS125 exhaust valve opens between 500 and 2500 rpm to allow for valve stem self-cleaning. The Rave valve actuation points are 8000 – 8100 rpm for Strada and 8300 – 8400 rpm for Sport Pro.
The following schematic illustrates the Aprilia RS125 Rave Valve Circuit Diagram. The solenoid controlled by the Rave control unit opens the exhaust valve at 8100 rpm.
