Ducati 1098 Overview
To me the Ducati 1098 is one of the best superbike ever made!. This “monster” is powered by a six speed 1099 cm³ longitudinal 90º “L” twin cylinder, four-stroke engine with toothed belt, double overhead camshaft, 4 valves per cylinder and 8 rocker arms that generates 117 kW maximum power at 9750 rpm and 116 Nm maximum torque at 8000 rpm. It is equipped with loop water cooling with double-fan curved radiator and mixing thermostat type cooling system.
The front suspension system using Showa: Hydraulic upside-down fork equipped with external adjusters for adjustment of rebound and compression damping and preload (for inner springs of fork legs); While the rear suspension system using Showa: progressive mono-shock with adjustable rebound, compression and spring preload.
Ducati 1098 Electrical System
This superbike has sealed-maintenance free battery (12V, 10Ah); 12V – 480 W alternator capacity; It uses inductive electronic ignition system with 12 V-700 W electric starter motor. Other electrical component system specifications include:
