In 1996 Isuzu launched the Isuzu Hombre to replace the Isuzu Pick-up. It was available in two different engine variant, the 2.2 L I4, and the 4.3 L V6. This car is equipped with a TCM (Transmission Control Module). The Transmission Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transmission control.

Below schematic illustrates the 2000 Isuzu Hombre 4.3L Automatic Transmission Control System Wiring Diagram. The system consists of: vehicle control module (VCM), pressure control solenoid valve, transmission fluid temperature sensor, automatic transmission, throttle position sensor, engine coolant temperature sensor, and vehicle speed sensor.

The VCM receives electronic input signals from sensors and switches. These signals help PCM/VCM determine when to operate various relays and solenoids related to engine and transmission components. (click image to enlarge)
