The Honda NX650 Dominator electrical system is designed to prevent electric starting if transmission is in gear, unless the clutch is disengaged. However, it is recommended that the transmission is placed in neutral before attempting to start the engine.
The Honda NX650 Dominator main fuse (1) is located under the seat, is 20A. The fuse box (2) is located lower the instruments. The specified fuses are 10A and 15A. When frequent failure occurs, it is usually indicates a short circuit or an overload in the electrical system. Caution: Turn of the ignition switch OFF before checking or replacing fuses to prevent accidental short circuiting.
The following schematic shows the Honda NX650 Dominator Battery/Charging System Circuit and Wiring Diagram.
The battery capacity is 12V – 8 AH with 0.9 Amperes charging current and approximately 5 hours charging time. The regulator is a three phase/full-wave rectified type with 13.5 – 15.5 V/5000 rpm regulated voltage.
