The multi-information display (MID) is an integrated display and operating unit for the audio system, car-navigation system, rear view monitor, DIS, warning indicator, maintenance monitor, ambient temperature, clock and display LCD. The MID only indicates existing information and transfers button signals to connected communication devices. The communication devices are connected to each other and the MID via a serial one-wire bus, the information bus (I-bus ). The display check / control provides you with instant feedback on any element of your vehicle that malfunction. This includes checking that the doors and trunk are firmly closed and all lights (including intermittent reverse lights and brake lights) work well.
