According to Wikipedia.org, the definition of Ignition Switch is an switch in the control system of an internal combustion engine vehicle (car, automobile) that activates the main electrical systems for the vehicle. The ignition switch generally has four positions: off, accessories,on, and start. Some cars have two off positions, off and lock. My 1973 Camero will not start. I have traced the wire coming out of the steering column and 12 volts does not appear on the wire leading to the solonoid when I turn the key. What are the color codes coming out of the column and where do they go? I think one goes to ground for the solonoid, one goes to the amp guage to meassure the power used for everything except the turn on. But which is which?

The schematic is too fuzzy to read, can I get one e-mailed to me? It is the starter schematic or engine schematic for the 1995 Camaro, with the 3.4 6 cylinder engine. Thankyou,
