CX500C CDI Circuit Diagram The Honda CX series motorcycles (including the GL500 and GL650 variants) were developed and released in the late 1970s. It was powered by a 500–673 cc water-cooled longitudinal OHV80° V-twin, 4 valves per cylinder, and produced 50-77 hp. The CX/GL500 series bikes are sturdy and durable and often referred to as bulletproof. The bikes came with two types of ignitions. The first was called a capacitive discharge ignition () and the second was the transistorized ignition most commonly found in the GL/Silverwing series.
