The LM2700 is a step-up DC/DC converter with a 3.6A, 80m? internal switch and pin selectable operating frequency. This IC features 3.6A, 0.08?, internal switch, adjustable output voltage up to 17.5V, over temperature protection, operating input voltage range of 2.2V to 12V, 600kHz/1.25MHz pin selectable frequency operation, input under voltage protection, and small 14-Lead TSSOP or LLP package. The LM2700 applicable for LCD Bias Supplies, portable Applications/ handheld devices, digital cameras, and GSM/CDMA Phones.
The following LM2700 datasheet contains detail information regarding general description, features, applications, typical application circuit, connection diagram, ordering information, pin description, block diagram, detailed description, absolute maximum ratings, operating conditions, electrical characteristics, operation, application information and physical dimension specification.
The LM2700 utilizes a PWM control scheme to regulate the output voltage over all load conditions. At the start of each cycle, the oscillator sets the driver logic and turns on the NMOS power device conducting current through the inductor, During this cycle, the voltage at the VC pin controls the peak inductor current. The VC voltage will increase with larger loads and decrease with smaller. This voltage is compared with the summation of the SW voltage and the ramp compensation.
