The wiring circuits in 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt are protected from short circuits by a combination of fuses, circuit breakers and fusible thermal links. This greatly reduces the chance of damage caused by electrical problems. There are two blocks in Cobalt : the floor console block and the engine compartment block.

The floor console block is located on the passenger’s side of the floor console under the instrument panel. To access the block, remove the panel on the side of the console. Following picture shows the Floor Console Block Diagram.
