The Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet is the cabriolet version of the Volkswagen Golf hatchback. It was first introduced by Volkswagen in 1979. The 1997 VW Cabrio come with a standard four-cylinder engine with 115hp and five-speed manual transmission (with optional automatic four-speed).
The following diagram illustrates the cruise control system circuit and wiring diagram of 1997 Volkswagen Cabriolet. The transmission control module which is located below left rear seat is connected to cruise control fuse, cruise control switch, cruise control module (behind left side of the dash), ground, brake pedal position switch, clutch pedal position switch, brake light switch, fuse/relay panel, instrument cluster, and cruise control vacuum pump. The cruise control system controls the speed of your vehicle by adjusting the throttle position. The cruise control actuates the throttle valve by a cable connected to an actuator.
