The TDA2003 an amplifier which is designed to run on single rail power supplies. It provides high output current capability (up to 3.5A) yet very low harmonic and cross over distortion.
The following datasheet contains detail description of TDA2003 amplifier, absolute maximum ratings data, test circuit diagram, pin connection overview, schematic diagram, thermal data, DC and AC test circuit, electrical characteristic, DC and AC characteristic, quiescent output voltage vs. supply voltage, quiescent drain current vs. supply voltage, output power vs. supply voltage, output power vs. load resistance RL, gain vs. input sensitivity, distortion vs. output power, distortion vs. frequency, supply voltage rejection vs. voltage gain, supply voltage rejection vs. frequency, power dissipation and efficiency vs. output power (RL = 4W), maximum power dissipation vs. supply voltage (sine wave operation), maximum allowable power dissipation vs. ambient temperature, typical values of capacitor (CX) for different values of frequency response (B), P.C. board and component layout for the circuit.
The TDA 2003 has a circuit which enables it to withstand a voltage pulse train, on pin 5. If the supply voltage peaks to more than 40V, then an LC filter must be inserted between the supply and pin 5, in order to assure that the pulses at pin
5 will be held within the limits.
