An anti-lock braking system, or ABS is a safety system which prevents the wheels on a motor vehicle from locking while braking. A skidding wheel (where the tire contact patch is sliding relative to the road) has less traction than a non-skidding wheel.
The following diagram will show you detail circuit of 1997 Chevrolet Blazer Anti-lock Brake System. The I/P fuse block which consists of 10A gauge fuse and 10A brake fuse is connected to the instrument cluster, front axle switch (on front axle) and TCC/stoplamp switch (brake pedal support). There are also vehicle speed sensor on the left side of the transmission system, vehicle control module, left front wheel speed sensor and right front speed sensor. All component are connected to brake pressure modulator valve.
