I was ready to shoot my Paseo and throw it over a cliff. Something went wrong with the wiring and it activated an alarm I never knew I had. A friend removed the alarm system but apparently it did something to the shift lock. I couldn't get hold of him so I looked up info on transmissions and here was the answer! Worked like a charm...the override button was the way to go! You have saved me endless grief and high repair expenses. At least I have time to get this looked at.
