Kawasaki ZX-7R Electrical Specification

Battery type: Maintenance Free (MF) Battery
Capacity: 12 V 8 Ah (ZX750N), and 12 V 10 Ah (ZX750P)
Voltage: 12.8 V or more (ZX750N), and 12.6 or more (ZX750P)

Alternator (charging system)
Type: Three-phase AC (built-in regulator/rectifier)
Charging voltage: 14.2 – 14.8 Volt at engine speed 4000 rpm
Rotor coil resistance: 2.3 – 3.5 Ohm
Stator coil resistance: 1.0 Ohm or less
Slip ring diameter: 14.4 mm (service limit 14.0 mm)
Carbon brush length: 10.5 mm (4.5 mm)

Ignition system
Pickup coil air gap: 0.4 – 0.6 mm (non-adjustable)
Pickup coil resistance: 375 – 565 Ohm
Ignition coil 3 needle arcing distance: 7 mm or more
Primary winding resistance: 2.3 – 3.5 Ohm
Secondary winding resistance: 12 – 18 kOhm

Spark plug type: NGK CR9E or ND U27ESR-N
Spark plug gap: 0.7 – 0.8 mm
Starter brush length: 12 mm
Commutator diameter: 28 mm
